I have inserted components inside other components (think assemblies in Solidworks) but parameters don’t affect every component. ![]() Is there something wrong here? Also, what if I need to make a walk-in closet with several different dressers that share some measurements (eg. ![]() BUT if I need to create a cut list for this, it doesn’t show anything because I only have bodies inside a main component. Then I apply several parameters to all those pieces and it works great edit total width or some other measurement and all drawers and their pieces update in real-time. I have made a full dresser (5 drawers) in the following way: I made a single component, let’s call this: MAIN (will need it later in the post) with the sketches of all parts of the dresser (individual pieces of the drawers, sliders, sides, top and bottom…) then create individual bodies from these sketches. ![]() Trying to understand how is the best way to use parametric design for woodworking-furniture design.
